Beginnings

Today, the 8th of November 2004 was a landmark day for Ithaca. And why? Today was the first day of SNOW for the season. That's right folks, the business of winter has begun (and it's only November). Despite my dislike for snow piled high on my car, slushy footpaths and icy roads, snow falling is still incredibly beautiful. Especially at night when it seems to dance under the streetlights.

And another beginning - my 2005 diary finally arrived. Unfortunately I haven't found a good source of my beloved Moleskine diaries here, so I ordered it from Amazon. It's occurred to me several times that Amazon might be one of the things I miss most when I leave the US.
