Sometimes the distance seems further...

Most days I don't even notice how far I am from home. It is nothing to write an email, phone half-way across the world, stay connected. And I love the possibilities of a world where we can be connected, even over great geographical distances.

There are times though, when the distance seems too vast for words. Today a dear friend copes with an unexpected tragedy. I long to be there, and suddenly the phone and email are inadequate.
